Purpose

The purpose of this Method Statement is to outline the procedure to be followed during the sequence of KSR Wall Cladding Panels.

Scope

This method statement covers the basic requirements for KSR wall cladding Panels work and shall include preparation of surface, laying of bedding, installation of Panels, finishing works in accordance with the contract project specifications, manufacturer technical data sheets. This method statement will focus on the works at Specified projects

KSR Wall Panels Cladding Works

    Tile setting out must be done carefully prior to starting installation, to minimize panel cutting and to ensure alignment of vertical & horizontal joints.

      Type of panels installed shall follow approved drawings & finishes schedule and carried out using suitable adhesive material.

        Panels shall be dry when fixed with approved adhesive material. Mixing & application to follow manufacturer’s recommendations.

          The adhesive material shall be applied to the wall as a continuous even float coat and the wall panels are fixed to the adhesive with twisting/sliding action to obtain uniform bed thickness as required.

            Panels shall be laid in true vertical face with uniform horizontal & vertical joints. Joints shall be correctly positioned & perpendicular. Joint widths shall be maintained to be uniform and in proper alignment

              Dry fix location to be marked and drilled carefully to prepare for screws fixation.

                Special Panels fittings & accessories including Fishers & SS Screws to be firmly fixed & located as detailed on drawings.

                  Wherever applicable, control joints to be provided following the details as per approved drawings.

                    Panel terminations to be done neatly in line at any obstructions, edges & corners without disturbing the Panel alignment or pattern.

                      All joints to be cleared from any excessive Adhesive for the full depth of Panel thickness.

                        The fixed Panel shall be left to dry completely before finishing to avoid any dislocation or movement.

                          Approved Joint sealant will be applied for the control joints. Sealant to be filled in thoroughly flush with the finished face of tiles.
